Kansas Baptisms
Kansas Meet Me in the Water Event
Day 1
Ms Kiah started out the trip right, I woke up in the middle of the night to see her hands raised in the air talking in her sleep saying with a smile "it would be so good". 😀
Our friend, Joe H, who came along has already been such a blessing to us and others, quite a few words of knowledge and stretching people's faith.
As people started rolling in, a young man was highlighted and I asked him if he was going to be baptized today. He was unsure, but it was so neat to see throughout the day how he kept getting highlighted to others and people would come to me and say " I don't know who that young man is, but I think he needs baptized 😂. Well, God won the pursuit of this young man. After a few others knocked on the door of his heart, he decided it was time and we got to take him down to the water ❤️
The biggest highlight of the day was a lady who had come after watching the ministry from the beginning, riddled with heart and other health issues, she came believing for her healing, but was not strong enough to wait in the long line. We encouraged her that when she was ready we'd get her right in without waiting.
Well, when her time came, she came and got us and the Lord touched her mightily. After getting out and helping record some other folks' baptisms she was rejoicing that her heart no longer hurt and was amazed how she had been standing on her own for as long as she had. " I have never stood this long without falling"❤️. Her countenance had also completely changed. What a powerful God we serve!
My wonderful partner Elizabeth had some great words and was so amazed at how she could lead other who were struggling with forgiving others. What a gift!
We met an amazing family who flew all the way from Australia who have been believing for big things with the mother being waiting for her healing from Parkinson's disease. God touched her mightily in the water, and did some amazing things, but her symptoms continued as we saw her later. Keep her in your prayers, such a sweet family who have decided to enjoy the journey until they see what they know the Lord Jesus paid for is accomplished.❤️❤️ One day we will rejoice together for this too!
By the time we were done, our dear friend with the healed heart had done evangelized the crowd better than we ever could and she had her whole section coming to get baptized 🤣. Funny how a good testimony overcomes so much doubt and hesitation 💥
Also, something I have never experienced before happened! As I was coming to grab lunch Kayla was leaving the food trailer and spotted some guys in the open field and suggested we may want to go pray for them. So after my meal as I was throwing away my food they were out in the field again. As I approached them I noticed one of them was dressed fully in Jesus clothing, shirts and hat all had crosses and whatnot on it, and the other guy you could tell was struggling with something as he nervously was smoking his cigarette.
I asked if I could pray for them, and the "Jesus guy" suggested I should pray for the other fellow. So I knelt down and started to ask the Lord to minister to him. Jesus guy said "he lost his daughter a few years back" so I started praying for that situation as the man was receiving from the Lord. We finished and all stood up, as we went to leave I was nudges to give the man who lost his daughter a hug. We embraced for a good long time, but when we released each other, to our amazement the Jesus guy had vanished!! We were in an open field and he was nowhere to be seen and never saw him afterward. It was either an angel or somebody got transported there for that moment to help minister to that man! One of the other team members said he saw me over talking in the field, but only saw one man with me.🤯
Another man who we baptized in Georgia came bringing his children to witness what God has been doing. He retold the story of when we baptized him and we had no clue how much God was ministering to him that day. Said his life has been completely changed since and has seen God moving in his family ever since❤️.
A bunch more stories, but time to prepare for tomorrow 🙏🙏🙏. I think there were around 700 or so baptized today ❤️🔥🌊
Day 2
It was a different kind of day today, but just as awesome as every other day serving at these events. The day started with breakfast at the food trailer hosted by the St. John family—an amazing crew. As we ate, I was sharing the “angel story” from yesterday. Malisa told me she had also seen me talking in the field, but only saw one man out there with me as well! 🤯
Our friends Jacob and Becca came to visit from Kansas City. Jacob is the one who created our website for us. It was a blessing to see them. If you’re in need of website work, he’d be great to work with!
I met a lady who told me a story from the day before. A young boy had come to pray for her. She had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, but as the boy prayed, she felt something shift. She said she felt it go down her leg and out her toes. She was overwhelmed by the prayer but hadn’t shared the details with anyone. As she and her friend were leaving, her friend told her that while they were praying, she had a vision of the cancer going down her leg and out her toes. :) Please pray for her doctor’s report this Wednesday!
We have been blessed to stay with Tom and Kim this week, and their story of healing has been truly inspiring. I have been praying for a man named Tim (please join me), who has been in a really rough spot with pain in his body. As Kim shared her story, so much of it was exactly what Tim has been going through. Hearing about her absolutely miraculous healing has been so encouraging and faith-building. A year ago, she made it only two steps into the water to be baptized, and God completely took over, healing her of so many things. Now they are both serving the Lord and others with their whole hearts and seeing God do great things!
Another very special encounter happened today. Kayla felt the Lord tell her I was supposed to pray for a man who had come and was in line for prayer. The other team members came and got me since I wasn’t nearby. It was amazing how (and Kayla didn’t know these details about our story) so many very specific parts of our testimony about how our son Derek entered the world spoke directly into the couple’s lives. They had just lost a child, right down to the names involved. God had not forgotten them or forsaken them. He turns our sorrows into joy!
We also heard more testimonies from people returning from the day before. One friend of two ladies pulled me aside, overjoyed, explaining how her two friends had been completely transformed by what the Lord did in their lives yesterday!
I was able to meet a very special man I had been praying for all week. I knew he had been wanting to come but had been battling to make it. I was about to help bring someone into the water when I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to stop and turn around for another assignment. There was the man I had been praying for, walking onto the grounds in the distance! We met him and baptized him right away. It was very special getting to know him over the next few hours and helping him find peace with the powerful giftings the Lord has designed him with—especially his ability to see in the spirit realm. I believe we so need seers activated and encouraged in the church, especially as we enter the next season the Lord is leading us into.
We ended the revival with infectious laughter as joy broke out on the team during one of the last baptisms of the day. 😂 So many other stories and new friends met, it feels like an injustice not to mention them all, but so thankful for them.
Kiah left early with Glen and Marge, so Joe and I had a great time driving back to Indiana, talking about our excitement for what we believe God is doing in the earth today. What a treasure it was.
Back home now and enjoying another treasure!
